Referral Program
Terms
These terms cover the Rentadeto companion referral program. They are part of the Terms of Service, which apply to everything not said here. Version 2026-10-24.
1. Who can take part
Companions whose profile has been approved. Your invite link (rentadeto.com/join/your-handle, on the Share tab of your portal) works while your profile is live: approved, and not on vacation, suspended or closed.
2. Who counts as your referral
A person who opens your invite link and then creates a new Rentadeto account, as a client or as a companion, in the same browser within 60 days. If they opened another companion’s invite link after yours, the later link counts. An account that already existed never counts, and a person can be one companion’s referral once, ever.
Your profile link (rentadeto.com/c/your-handle) is not an invite link: someone who finds you through your profile and books you is your client, not a referral.
3. The bonus
You earn C$25 once your referral’s own completed bookings have earned Rentadeto C$50 in platform fees, within 12 months of the day they signed up. For a client, those are the bookings they make; for a companion, the bookings they are booked for.
Only a booking that took place and was paid out counts, and it counts the platform fee after any refund on it: the fee, less everything refunded on that booking. A cancelled, refunded, disputed or charged-back booking counts nothing. The fee is the Rentadeto platform fee the client paid on top of the companion’s price; no companion’s rate is ever reduced to pay a bonus, and no client pays more because of one.
The program is single-level. There is no bonus for the people your referrals invite, no bonus for a sign-up on its own, and nothing that grows with anyone’s earnings: one flat amount, earned only from your referral’s own completed bookings.
4. When it is paid
When a referral reaches C$50, the C$25 appears on your Earnings as “Referral”, marked pending. It is sent with your next weekly payout, once your payouts are set up (the usual $25 minimum applies to the payout as a whole). The Invite card on your Share tab shows each referral’s progress: signed up, active, C$50 reached, paid.
Payments are not open on Rentadeto yet. Until they are, no booking earns a fee, so no referral can reach C$50 and no bonus is paid.
5. Limits
- One bonus per referral.
- At most 20 bonuses per companion per calendar year. A referral that reaches C$50 after that does not earn one.
- No self-referral: not your own second account, not an account created on a device you use or on which another of your referrals signed up, and not a client paying with a card already used on another of your referrals’ qualifying bookings.
- The referral must be a new account (section 2).
- Bookings must be genuine. A booking that is refunded, disputed or charged back does not count.
6. When a bonus is taken back
If, within 90 days after a bonus is credited, refunds or chargebacks bring the referral’s counted fees under C$50, the bonus is taken back. It shows as a negative “Referral” line on your Earnings and comes off your earnings or your next payouts. A booking that is only under dispute (a report or a chargeback not yet decided) does not take a bonus back; the refund or the lost chargeback does. After 90 days a bonus is yours, except under section 9.
7. Telling people you get a bonus
Whenever you share your invite link publicly (a post, a story, a bio, a video), you must say, next to the link and where people will see it before they tap:
“I get a referral bonus from Rentadeto.”
The Invite card has the line ready to copy. A bonus is a material connection, and Canada’s Competition Act and the Ad Standards disclosure guidelines expect it to be disclosed. Do not describe Rentadeto in ways that are not true, or promise anything on its behalf.
8. Personal sharing only
Share your link yourself: with people you know, one to one, or on your own social profiles. No bulk email, no texts to lists, no bought or scraped contacts, and no messages to strangers. Canada’s anti-spam law (CASL) restricts commercial messages sent without consent, and you are responsible for the messages you send. Rentadeto never emails or texts anyone on your behalf and does not ask you for anyone’s contact details.
9. Fraud
We may withhold a bonus, take back one already credited, or remove you from the program, if a referral or a booking is not genuine: fake or duplicate accounts, bookings that did not happen, bookings made only to reach C$50, misleading or spam sharing, or any breach of these terms, the Terms of Service or the Community Rules. A person makes that decision and the Invite card shows the reason. If you think it is wrong, email hello@rentadeto.com and a person will look again.
10. Tax
A referral bonus is income to you. You are responsible for reporting it and for any tax on it. A bonus is part of your earnings record, and of the annual totals that section 4 of the Terms says we report where Canada’s digital-platform rules require it. That is not tax advice.
11. Changes and ending the program
We may change these terms or end the program. We will tell you at least 30 days before, by email or in the portal. A referral that reaches C$50 before a change or the end takes effect is paid under the terms it was earned under.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, as section 16 of the Terms of Service sets out.
