Being a good
companion

You are paid for your time and your company in a game: a game you play well, and the conversation you carry while you play. This page is how that works well, from the first photo to the payout. Read it before you apply, and again before your first booking.

The rules are the job

Bookings are for games, conversation and company on a call. Sexual, romantic and physical-contact services are not allowed, in any form. A client who asks for anything sexual or romantic gets a warning and a strike the first time, and a permanent ban for asking again, asking several companions or offering money. You never have to put up with it: end the booking (“The client broke the rules”), and report it from the booking page. Your pay is held until a person has read the report, and you are paid in full once we have, unless what we find says otherwise.

Arranging a booking or a payment outside Rentadeto is a permanent ban, and a booking made outside has none of our protections: no refund, no no-show pay, no safety desk. The one thing that happens elsewhere is the call. Each of you adds the app and your username on the booking page. The other person sees your username once the booking is accepted. Never share a phone number.

Your boundaries, in writing

Say what you offer and what you don’t, in your bio, before anyone books. Which games, which modes, whether you talk on camera or voice only, the hours you keep. A clear bio gets the bookings you want and none of the ones you don’t. You can decline any request without a reason, end any booking at any time, and block any client; a blocked client can never reach you or see your profile again.

A profile that passes review the first time

  • One profile picture. Use a Rentadeto avatar, your own art or character, or a real photo of you. No photos of other people, no celebrities, nothing sexual, and only art you have the right to use. Up to 6; no text or contact details on any of them. A person reviews every upload.
  • A tagline, and a bio if you like. Setup drafts the tagline from your games; change it to your own words. Naming Discord or in-game voice is fine; phone numbers, handles and invite links are not: the screen flags them and a person reads them, as it does in a chat.
  • A voice intro, optional. Optional, 8 to 15 seconds, in your own voice. Your name · what you play or love to talk about · your vibe · when you're free · a friendly invite. Not just 'hello'. No music, no one else's voice, no phone numbers, handles or other apps, nothing romantic.
  • Your games. Up to 8 from the list, so you appear on the Gaming shelf. Pick the ones you actually play this month.
  • Your price. Per game, and by time any whole number from $20 to $200 an hour; you keep 100% of it, and the 25% service fee is the client’s, on top. All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Once credits are live you also set a price per game for a gaming duo, from $3 to $100: set your price per game, tap Game done after each one, and you are paid for every game you marked.
  • The 3 rules. 3 cards before you submit, one tap each; a miss shows the rule and you tap again. Hours are optional: Go live when you are free.

Once you are live, “Taking bookings now” in the portal puts “Live” on your card for the next 2 hours, for an evening you want to fill.

How a booking runs

  1. The request. A client picks one of your offers (gaming duo), a time and a length, and the app you will talk on. You see it in your portal and accept or decline. A request nobody answers expires after 24 hours. Answer soon: a quick yes or no is what a client remembers.
  2. The chat. It opens with the request. Settle the plan there: the game and mode, what to watch, the topic. Everything agreed in the chat is what the booking is, and the chat is part of the record if anything is disputed.
  3. The call. Calls happen on Discord or in the game's own voice chat. Rentadeto doesn't host, see or record them. Be on the call at the time you booked. Then tap “I’m here” on the booking page, any time from 15 minutes before the start to 30 minutes after: that tap is what shows you came, and it is what pays you.
  4. During. The Community Rules apply on the call wherever it happens: no nudity, no sexual acts or sexual language, and no recording without the other person’s agreement. If the client doesn’t show, wait until 30 minutes after the start, keep it in the booking chat, and the no-show rule pays you your rate. If the call can’t start, say so in the chat and report it from the booking page.
  5. After. Tap “I’m done”. The client has 24 hours to report a problem; if nobody does, your rate is released. The booking page on Rentadeto is the record: its chat, both check-ins and any report. Refunds and payouts are decided from it. We can’t see another app, so what happened there counts only as far as the booking chat or a report shows it.

What makes clients book again

Being on time, every time. Saying what you will do and doing it. Remembering what the client told you in the chat. A clear “that’s not something I offer” when it isn’t, said once and kindly. Reviews are written by clients after a completed booking and nobody can buy, trade or remove one for being unflattering. A client can add up to 3 of these to a review, from 5: “easy to talk to”, “made me laugh”, “patient”, “on time”, “good teammate”. Those are the ones that fill a calendar.

What we never ask you for

  • We never ask you to pay anything to join, to be approved, to be listed higher or to be paid out. Listing is free and there is no fee to withdraw.
  • We never ask for a gift card, an e-transfer, a crypto payment or a code from your bank. Anyone who does is not us: report them.
  • Payouts go only to a bank account in your own name, through Stripe. Nobody from Rentadeto will ask you to move money through another person’s account.
  • A client who offers to pay you more outside Rentadeto is asking you to give up every protection you have here. Decline, and report it from the chat.

Where to read more

The companions help topic has the payout schedule and the strike rules with their numbers. The community rules are what every member agreed to. Questions go to hello@rentadeto.com; a person answers.
