An exhibition you have been meaning to see, a museum on a rainy Saturday, an afternoon that is better with someone to say “look at this” to. A companion is company for the day: you pick the place, they come along, and it stays exactly that.
What happens
Write the plan when you book: which gallery, what time, whether there is a coffee after. First meetings are in public places, and a gallery lobby is the easiest one there is. Say what you would like — a running commentary, or someone who is happy to wander in the same silence — and they accept knowing which one it is.
Two to four hours is typical, and you can extend from the booking page if you end up staying for the second floor. The booking covers their time; tickets and coffee are yours to cover, on the spot, the way the community rules put it.
In-person days out happen in the companion’s own city, once in-person is open there. Before that, the “Show me your world” video date is a walk through their neighbourhood with you picking the turns — a different afternoon, but the same idea.

How booking works
Everyone on the site passes an 18+ age check before they can message anyone. Companions write their own profiles and set their own hourly rate.
You pick a companion, a date and a length. For an in-person date you also write the plan — where, when, what you have in mind — and the companion reads it before accepting. They can decline, and you are never charged for a request they turn down.
A chat opens the moment you send the request, so the two of you can settle the details; it closes when the date is done.
First in-person meetings happen in public places — a café, a restaurant, a busy street — and either person can end any date at any time. Every message is screened, and a person reads every report.
What it costs
The price is their hourly rate times the hours you book, plus a 20% platform fee, shown as one total before you confirm — a two-hour date at $40 an hour, as an example, is $80 to the companion and $96 on your card. They keep 100% of their rate; the fee never comes out of it.
Your card is authorized when you book and charged after the date has happened. If it is declined or cancelled first, the hold is released and nothing is charged. More than 48 hours before the date, a full refund; 24 to 48 hours, 75% back; 2 to 24 hours, 50% back; inside two hours or a no-show, none. Our fee comes back in full at every step, and a companion cancelling is always a full refund.
Questions people ask
Do I have to talk the whole time?
No. Some of the best gallery company is quiet. Say in the plan whether you want conversation or someone content to wander alongside you, and the companion accepts on that basis.
Who pays for the tickets?
You do, on the spot — the booking covers the companion’s time, and the community rules say plainly that dinner, drinks, tickets and transport are the client’s to pay. Buying both tickets online beforehand is the simplest way.
Which cities can I do this in?
In-person dates open city by city, at 8 approved local companions per city and by a person flipping the switch. The launch cities are Toronto, Ottawa, Mississauga, Hamilton, London — all in Ontario. This page shows whether each is open today.
