Every virtual date on Rentadeto is built around an activity you pick when you book: a watch party, a game night, cooking the same recipe in two kitchens, coffee with conversation cards, a quiet co-work session, or a walk through their neighbourhood with you choosing the turns. The room is on the site, timed, and never recorded.
What happens
You pick the companion, the activity, the date and the length. The room opens on the site at the start time — no app to install, just allow the camera and microphone. The video flows directly between the two of you and does not pass through our servers.
The activity is the point. A coffee date comes with a card deck in the room so nobody has to carry the conversation alone; a watch party gives you both something to react to; a co-work session is quiet company with cameras on and pressure off. The conversation comes out of the activity, not the other way round.
Video dates are not tied to a city. Wherever you are in Canada or the United States, once browsing is open you can book one — which is why they open first, before any city opens for in-person.

How booking works
Everyone on the site passes an 18+ age check before they can message anyone. Companions write their own profiles and set their own hourly rate.
You pick a companion, a date and a length. For an in-person date you also write the plan — where, when, what you have in mind — and the companion reads it before accepting. They can decline, and you are never charged for a request they turn down.
A chat opens the moment you send the request, so the two of you can settle the details; it closes when the date is done.
What it costs
The price is their hourly rate times the hours you book, plus a 20% platform fee, shown as one total before you confirm — a two-hour date at $40 an hour, as an example, is $80 to the companion and $96 on your card. They keep 100% of their rate; the fee never comes out of it.
Your card is authorized when you book and charged after the date has happened. If it is declined or cancelled first, the hold is released and nothing is charged. More than 48 hours before the date, a full refund; 24 to 48 hours, 75% back; 2 to 24 hours, 50% back; inside two hours or a no-show, none. Our fee comes back in full at every step, and a companion cancelling is always a full refund.
Questions people ask
Do I need to install anything?
No. The date room runs in the browser on the site — allow camera and microphone when asked. Game night uses browser games, so there is nothing to install there either.
Is the call recorded?
No. The video goes directly between the two of you, peer to peer, and never passes through our servers. We keep the booking record and the text chat, not the call.
What if I don’t know what to talk about?
That is what the activity is for. Conversation cards sit in the room on a coffee date, a watch party gives you something to react to, and a cook-together keeps your hands busy. Pick the activity that suits how much talking you feel like.
